Welcome to Dalhousie Place
Supervised Access Program. We are proud to offer supervised
visit and exchange services and hope that your time spent in our program will
be a pleasant and rewarding experience.
In order to ensure a safe, child
friendly environment, your complete co-operation with Dalhousie Place policies
is required.
ARRANGING
VISITS & EXCHANGES
All visits and exchanges must be pre-arranged through the Dalhousie
Place office staff. Unscheduled visits and exchanges are not
permitted. At times, there are waiting lists.
Visits are a maximum
of 2 hours in length, and up to twice a week.
Exchanges can occur as often as
court ordered.
If you need to cancel a visit or
exchange, please contact Dalhousie Place at least 24 hours in advance of the
scheduled visit/exchange. There is a fee for last minute cancellations
and no shows. Repeated cancellations will be reviewed and may
result in discharge from the program
FEES
There is a user fee (maximum $12.00)
per visit or exchange paid by both the custodial and non custodial parent. User
fees are based on clients income. Please have your fee available upon
arrival at the Centre.
There is a fee for court reports
and/or letters that are prepared for clients and/or their lawyers. Photocopying
fees apply where applicable.
Important
Both clients must complete intakes prior
to access. Please call for an intake appointment. You will need to bring a copy
of any current court orders, bail orders or letters of agreement to the intake.
