Vision Statement St. Stephen's (Anglican) Church

On a beautiful fall weekend in '94, the people of St. Stephen's held a Parish retreat to seek God's guidance for the Ministry of His Church at 55 Queensway Dr. Brantford. The Vision Statement and Prayer were composed at that time. As a continual reminder of our calling, the Vision Statement was signed by the parishoners and the copies are still posted on the church wall.

"A Community Of Diverse People, Learning to Be Christian In A Secular World."

St. Stephen's is a body of worshipping people, from diverse backgrounds, led by the Holy Spirit.
We are open,faithful and nuturing of each other and the expanding community around us.
We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord.
We affirm the sacramental teaching and practice of the Apostolic Church as understood by the Anglican Commumion.

Prayer For The Ministry At St. Stephen's

May the Spirit of Christ be truly amongst us all. Within each individual whether in church, at work or play; in our walking and our sleeping; so that everyone who comes in contact with this parish community of St. Stephen's will know Christ's presence.

May God deem us worthy to carry God's message of love: see us fit to be caregivers in our troubled world and bless us all with strength and wisdom to know the way in everything we do.

May all our activities be performed with a joyful and generous heart which God has given us to share with others; and in so doing may we all be refreshed anew.

This we pray in the name of God the Source of all Being. Eternal Word and Holy Spirit. Amen.
