Creator God,
Your mercy calls us to reconciliation and healing
May we look up to see ,
We are standing at your gates;
And at your gates everyone is welcome.
May we seek all good.
Be with us each one,
As we go to our work and play this week.
Help us to grow in our hearts and in our minds,
Sharing the gift of love you have brought in your Son,
Jesus Christ, our LORD.

IN THE COMMUNITY
The
Community supports the following.
- Christmas Baskets 2000: location the former
Union Gas Building- Colborne St.
- Nova Vita Women's Services
- The Sexual Assault Centre of Brant
- Operation Christmas Child Shoebox - items
to aid children in the developing world.
Ongoing
Helping Hands
- Profits from Sunday Brunch are designated
for Social Action Fund
- St. Stephen's Social Action Fund available for short term emergency
needs.(Priest administered)
- Jeans for Jesus supports Brant Food Bank
- St. Stephen's provides a 'safe' environment for community support groups
to meet
- Working with Nova Vita personnel we:
- are available for emergency needs
- make available meeting rooms (etc)
- There are many 'ACTS OF OUTREACH' happening daily as a result of individuals
from our parish community living out their Baptismal Covenant of Mission . As an example volunteers for all the Anglican parishes help with an evening meal, known as DAILY BREAD prepared and served at Grace Church, Brantford each Wednesday.

Just as we respond locally to community and global needs, the
National Church through the collective constributions of parishes also
is able to respond globally.
